PARADES!!! Why won't these damn things just die? I hate the friggin' things. All they do is clog up town with fire trucks, ambulances, police cars wasting tax money with gas at $3 a gallon, and with 1000 morons that crawl out of the hills to see the "per raid". What is the point? What's the facination? Why? Why? Why?

I'll tell you why! It is because of an old piece of paper, written over 200 years ago, called "THE DECLARATION OF INDEPENDENCE"! You remember it, don't you? After all, that is what gave you the right to voice your opinion of parades and, in turn, gives the rest of us the right to have a parade. So, if you don't like the things, then go live somewhere else!
I had to try to make it to Food City in BSG today through all of that garbage. I've never understood the fascination.

It isn't a fascination, it is a celebration of the birth of a country. Don't you celebrate birthdays? I celebrate our nations birthday, along with most everyone else, don't you?
No. Parades are stupid. It's got nothing to do with celebrating birthdays or there wouldn't be one at Thanksgiving or New Years or the other dozen retarded freak shows. What's the point in standing on the street watching traffic drive by a 1/10 the regular speed limit? How is watching public works vehicles drive through town a celebration of a birthday, especially the birth of the country?

If it wasn't for the birth of this country, then in all likelihood, there would be no public works vehicles to "parade through town. You evidently have no idea what it is like to celebreate anything.
Well, by bashing the 4th of July parades, it must mean you're not American. What about Christmas parades? If you're against them, you must be anti-Christian.

Basically all I am saying is that attitudes like the one you have about parades sucks. I hate basketball, but do you see me on a forum bashing everything about basketball? NO! It is good that you stayed at home with your family, but why bash everyone else who wants to celebrate The Fourth of July with a parade? You had to know what time the parade was gonna start, so why didn't you go to food city earlier........or later after the parade? Would've been a whole lost simpler if you ask me.
